The Skies[]
The world has two moons: one large (the perfect) and one small (the imperfect).
The Zalitraeq year is 8 months with 4 seasons of 2 months each. A Zalitraeq cycle is a period of 16 months. For the first year of the cycle, each month starts with the perfect moon full and ends with the imperfect full; in the second year, each month starts with the imperfect moon full and ends with the perfect moon full. This forms the basis of the signs.
The world's sun is a white dwarf; residents of Zalitraeq kingdom believe in the heliocentric theory.
The Zodiac[]
The Zalitraeq zodiac has 8 normal signs. The primary sign is that of the full moon at conception; the rising sign is that of the full moon at birth. In the accompanying symbols, the more ornate version is that of the perfect symbol; the less ornate that of the imperfect.
Each person is assigned two signs: one at conception, and one at birth. This combination is their personal sign.
